Cayman Islands: Shooting Incident Eastern Avenue GT

At approximately 330am this morning police responded to a report of a number of shots being fired in the car park outside Bananas Bar in the Dolphin Centre, Eastern Avenue, George Town.

On arrival at the scene police found a 20 year old  female victim with gunshot wounds which they subsequently conveyed to GT Hospital, further information was received that a 24 year old male victim with gunshot wounds had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle prior to police arrival.

Both victims have since been discharged from hospital after treatment, a number of vehicles were also damaged by gunshots at the scene.

An area search was carried out by police for the suspects with negative result, the scene was cordoned off for further investigation.

The identity of the suspects at this time is only described as two males dressed in black who made off in the direction of Rock Hole Road.

Police are asking for the driver/owner of a White Ford Taurus who was at the scene to contact them or anyone who has any information on the vehicle.
