Aggravated burglary

A little after 1AM this morning, Wednesday, 27 January, police responded to a report of an aggravated burglary at a residence in Northward, Bodden Town. The victims, a man and woman, reported that three men armed with knives had entered their home, bound them, and stole jewelry and a quantity of cash. The men are described as tall, about 5’8″ to 5’9” in height, medium built wearing dark clothing and masks, and having what the victims described as Jamaican accents. The victims received minor injuries.

Water related death

On Tuesday 26th January 2016 shortly before 2pm, The 911 Emergency Communication Centre received a call of a diver experiencing difficulties while diving off North West Point, West Bay.

Police and other Emergency Services responded to the location where CPR was already being administered by the dive crew. CPR was continued by Emergency Services and the diver transported to the George Town Hospital for medical treatment. He was later pronounced dead at the George Town Hospital.

The 54 year old diver was a visitor.
