Last Friday an indecent assault on a minor was reported to police regarding a 36-year-old man of Bodden Town and the female juvenile he coached. While police were in the course of taking the report that day, the man left the jurisdiction.

International law enforcement mechanisms have been alerted in the matter, and we will keep the public updated regarding developments.

With respect to this case and all cases of this nature that involve minors, we call upon our media colleagues to exercise restraint regarding any reporting that may lead to the identification of the victim.
