Just before 9PM on Saturday, 3 June, the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched police and emergency services to a report of a stabbing on West Bay Road in the vicinity of the Burger King in Seven Mile Beach.  A 15-year-old male juvenile had reportedly encountered a group of boys whom he knew when going to Burger King.  Just after leaving the restaurant he was attacked and received a stab wound to the chest.

The victim was transported from the scene to the Cayman Islands Hospital; he is still in hospital in critical but stable condition.
