Cayman Islands BT Walking Track will encourage exercise and sport

BT walking trackFrom junior athletes to families and retirees, residents of Bodden Town and the eastern districts will soon benefit from a new walking track.

Work is underway to construct and surface the four-lane track at the Bodden Town Primary School.

It will boost the school’s track programme, and be used to supplement district track meets held by the Cayman Islands Athletic Association.

With track and field being one of the Cayman Island’s focus areas, Sports Minister Osbourne Bodden believes the facility will serve as a tool to get more children involved in the sport, as well as general development of the national athletics programme.
