This initiative allowed young university and high school students to gain valuable experience in the working environment.

Consequently, beginning June 17, 2014 Immigration welcomed potential immigration officers as we opened our doors to 14 summer interns.

Therefore, two were posted to passport offices, two to the airport, two to Cayman Centre to work with the various boards- while eight are stationed at head office.

Chief Immigration Officer, Linda Evans commented, ‘it is a pleasure to be able to assist these young people in harnessing and developing the fundamental skills necessary for success in the workplace’. ‘We look forward to them having a successful and productive two months with the Department through the collaborative effort of all staff’, she continued.
