Cayman: CIMPA Conference gets personal as consumers seek authenticity from brands

George Town, Grand Cayman: The Cayman Islands Marketing Professionals Association (“CIMPA”) announces its sixth annual marketing conference, Made to Measure: Crafting Experiences, Shaping Identity & Personalisation.

Taking place 19-20 September 2019 at the Kimpton Seafire Resort, the two-day event will bring together Cayman’s marketing community and a host of international speakers and this year focuses on personalised marketing – one of the newest and most effective marketing methods that businesses are using to promote themselves online and drive revenue.

Made up of visiting speaker sessions, small-group workshops, networking opportunities, and interactive experiences, the growing annual conference is the flagship event on the marketing community calendar. The conference will kick-off on Thursday 19 September with a day of educational workshops designed to help local marketers make their marketing and advertising campaigns resonate with their audiences that much more, by delivering the right message to the right customer, at the correct time and on the best platform.

On Friday 20 September, a full day of presentations and panels will take a deep-dive into these new data-powered marketing strategies that drive real interest, conversion and retention, led by speakers from global marketing agencies, billion-dollar brands and media companies who will share breakthrough ideas in their fields of expertise.

Personalised marketing is a fast-growing phenomenon; according to a recent Salesforce Research survey, 66% of respondents said they were extremely or somewhat likely to switch brands if they felt like a person rather than a number, as more and more consumers start to value brands who are transparent, authentic, and personal. This is particularly relevant to small communities like the Cayman Islands.

“On a small island, the market can get oversaturated quickly, risking consumers ignoring your best planned and executed marketing campaign,” says Catherine Healy, CIMPA Chairperson.

“A personalised message that is relevant is much more likely to attract their attention and seem more credible. We’re excited to bring down some amazing brands that have successfully implemented these strategies to achieve their competitive advantage.”

The full speaker line-up will be announced in the coming weeks and has been carefully curated to provide local marketers with the best insights and ideas from experts and innovators across a broad spectrum of industries, from corporate marketing and agency insights to entrepreneurship and social media.
