Cayman: Breast Cancer Foundation teams up with Cayman Spirits Pink Gin

Due to the overwhelming success and demand for the exclusive, limited edition pink gin produced last October to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month, Cayman Spirits and the Breast Cancer Foundation of Cayman are proud to announce its return this year.
As one of the Breast Cancer Foundation’s 2019 highlights, CI $3,393.50 was raised last year from the gin’s sales.

“We are thrilled that this past October we had such great support from Moises Sevilla, Distiller and Project Lead, as well as Walker Romanica and Nelson Dilbert, Co-founders, at Cayman Spirits, as well as the rest of the team there,” said Janette Fitzgerald, Chief Administrator, Breast Cancer Foundation of Cayman. “The pink gin they created for us was well received and every bottle they made sold very quickly.”

In addition to the gin’s production, Cayman Spirits also hosted a fabulous volunteers night for the Breast Cancer Foundation after the Gala; a night very much enjoyed by all who attended.

“We are thrilled with the amazing reception to the pink gin release and the Breast Cancer Foundation fundraising,” added Moises Sevilla, the brainchild of this project at Cayman Spirits. “The process of making this gin has been a labour of love and we are so thankful for the overwhelming support from the public. We were able to raise a lot of money for a great cause while enjoying some great drinks, it’s a win win for everyone. I also want to give a big shout out to all the amazing bartenders who created the cocktails that made this all happen.”

“It’s exciting to start the new year with such great news that Cayman Spirits will once again produce their pink gin to benefit the Breast Cancer Foundation,” added Kim Lund, co-founder and board member of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Cayman. “This is something we will all look forward to especially those who missed out last year due to the complete sell-out.”

“We also want to thank the bars around the island whose mixologists used their skills to create some fabulous cocktails and raise even more money for the Foundation,” added James Bovell, co-founder and board member of the Breast Cancer Foundation of Cayman. “We are looking
forward to a month full of amazing events this Breast Cancer Awareness month.”

A huge thank you to all of the restaurants who participated in last year’s fundraising campaign.
