Doing business in the with the future in mind, Scotiabank opened the doors of its first fully digital branch in April 2018. This branch is located on the ground floor of the LEED Gold-certified 18 in Camana Bay, occupying nearly 19,000 square feet between the retail branch and its office space on the second floor.

Scotiabank opened in the Cayman Islands as the Bank of Nova Scotia in 1966. Incorporating in the Cayman Islands as the country’s first trust company, it set up headquarters in George Town on Cardinall Avenue, with retail locations in South Sound and The Strand shopping centre on West Bay Road. With this move to Camana Bay, the bank now has two retail locations: 18 Forum Lane and its South Sound branch. The bank is the retail bank with the largest footprint in the , operating in 23 countries.

One of just four fully digital Scotiabank branches in the Caribbean region, the branch provides a “central location, free and accessible parking and modern facilities in close proximity to necessary amenities,” as described by Scotiabank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd. Managing Director, Dwight Burrows. Amenities include: access to more than 300 parking spaces directly adjacent to 18 Forum Lane, over 40 shops, 15 restaurants, cafes and eateries, and Grand Cayman’s only cinema, . Camana Bay also hosts over 600 events annually, the majority free and open to the public.

The second retail bank to relocate to Camana Bay, Scotiabank will add to Cayman National Bank’s offerings to provide visitors and tenants access to convenient banking options.
