Alvarado consultant in Costa Rica was invited for the second time to Washington to talk about politics and social network

Julian Kanarek, Master in Communication and Culture, will be presented for the second time at The George Washington University in the framework of the Seminar on “Campaigns and Elections in Democracies Competitive: the challenges of a new era” to discuss the challenges that the new digital era brings and how to return to politics in social networks.

School of Political Management at The George Washington University develops this meeting where participants updated knowledge on issues related to strategies and political communication in contemporary times, intensive use of the internet, social networks and constant development of technology.

The conference will take place on 6 and 7 December and will be taught by leading consultants and academics on campus in Washington DC. Experts will focus their work area in election campaigns are Tatiana Clouthier (campaign coordinator of the president of Mexico Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador), Juan Carlos Altamirano (general director of Digital Communication at the Presidency of the Government of Mexico), Santiago Nieto ( strategist and senior adviser to the government of Mauricio Macri in Argentina), Roberto Izurieta (commentator and political analyst on CNN), Rafael Reyes (consultant with experience in academia and practice of marketing in the private, social and public sectors), Kenny Arroyo (specializing in strategy political campaign consultant), Leandro Dear (executive director of Transparency electoral Latin America and DemoAmlat), Mauricio García (consultant electoral campaigns in Latin America), Rodrigo Vallejos (political consultant, an expert in crisis and government communication member of the Argentina Association of Political Consultants (ASACOP), Francisco Gaona (with political, specializing in communication and electoral mobilization) sultant, Alan Santelices (digital strategist, expert analysis of behavioral and emotional links from digital environments), Yehonatan Abelson (advisor to the presidential campaign of Lenin Moreno in Ecuador in 2017), Ruben Perina (occasional political columnist and consultant on specialization) and Uruguayan Julian Kanarek.

Kanarek led the campaign of Carlos Alvarado that led him to the presidency of Costa Rica in 2018 and other campaigns at regional and global levels. He has worked for various governments, political parties, organizations, government institutions such as UN Women, World Health Organization, World Bank and others.
