David Tomasa and Andre Burton received 11 years jail sentences for robbing the WestStar Television Centre in May 2012.

A third man, Ryan Edwards, was sentenced to five years for aiding and abetting the robbery by providing the getaway vehicle.

Justice Alastair Malcolm handed down the sentences today (Tues 29).

All three men were back in court  a few hours later to be sentenced by Justice Alex Henderson in connection with the robbery at Cayman National Bank in June 2012. They were found guilty after a trial by jury in May.

David Tomasa and Andre Burton were given prison sentences of 14 years each and Ryan Edwards received 13 years.

George Mignot, who had been acquitted by Justice Malcolm in his WestStar TV Centre trial, wasn’t so lucky this time. Justice Henderson gave him 12 years for his part in the CNB robbery. A fifth man, Rennie Cole, who had been found guilty of being a decoy at the bank received nine years.

All sentences will run concurrently.
