Wendy Scott earns Cayman Islands Chief Officer’s praise

469360aFor her great customer service skills and dedication to her duties in registering companies, partnerships and trusts, Ms Wendy Scott received the Chief Officer’s award for November 2015 as the top employee for the Ministry of Financial Services, Commerce and the Environment.
Ms Scott, a Customer Services Officer for General Registry, was presented with her certificate on 2 February. The honour is part of the Deputy Governor’s Award scheme for all civil servants.
Her conscientious work entering data, such as the payment of annual fees; assistance with receptionist duties; and maintenance of an estimated 250 companies per day are some of the reasons why she was honoured, said the Ministry’s Chief Officer Dr Dax Basdeo.
‘For the month of November, Ms Scott stood out among all the other high-achieving candidates who were nominated’, he said. ‘Her excellence helps the public to have a good experience with Government, and I commend her for her dedication’.
Ms Scott said that ever since she joined the department in July 2004, her colleagues have been integral to her success.
‘Many Registry employees deserve this award, as they go above and beyond the call of duty to help our customers,’ she said. ‘Even when we do not ask each other for help, we assist each other. This helps me to give the best customer service that I can to my co-workers, as well as to clients.
‘To me, Registrar General Cindy Bulgin, and Deputy Registrars Grace Watson and Donnell Dixon, are not only colleagues and my superiors, but a family away from home’, Ms Scott added.
Mrs Jefferson-Bulgin said she nominated Ms Scott because of her ability to handle customer enquiries.
‘Wendy has consistently performed at a high level and her diligence has made a big difference, both internally and with clients. I congratulate Wendy on her achievement and encourage her to continue performing in an exemplary manner’, she said.
