Valentine’s Day treat for Cayman Island passengers arriving in Grand Cayman’s International airport

DSCN1181 DSCN1208 DSCN1269Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands – Love was in the air at Owen Roberts International Airport (ORIA) on Saturday 14th february (valentine’s Day) as Cayman Islands Airports Authority’s (CIAA) customer service staff passed out candy, carnations and cupcakes to passengers.

CIAA’s chief commercial officer, Bianca Moore- Downey said, “The weekends are usually our busiest time and we know that some of our customers may feel a little frustrated by the long lines, so this was our way to give back and show our appreciation and love to our customers to make them feel special during Valentine’s Day.”

Feedback from the passengers has been very positive. A couple married for 56 years, who have been visiting the Cayman Islands since the 1980’s, told customer service staff that they were very happy to receive the flowers. The husband, even asked CIAA staff to follow him to present the carnations to his wife.

CIAA plans to continue to have holiday themed festivities at the airport throughout the year.
