Two Vehicle Collision on Northward Road Involving Injuries

Just after 4:30PM today 27 March, police and other emergency services were dispatched to Northward Road, Bodden Town, where it was reported that a two vehicle collision took place and several persons were injured. 

The collision took place when one of the vehicles veered to the right, causing a head on collision resulting in the other vehicle running off the roadway which subsequently collided with a tree and caught fire. 

One of the vehicles is believed to have had only one occupant and the other is believed to have had two occupants. All three parties were transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance, where all three are currently being treated for what appears to be serious injuries. 

Officers from the Cayman Islands Fire Service were present on scene and extinguished the fire that was caused as a result of the collision. 

The matter is currently being investigated by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254.
