TripAdvisor – Reputation Management Seminar

Trip advisor seminar 008Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (15 March 2016) The Cayman Islands Department of Tourism partnered with the world’s largest travel site, TripAdvisor, to present a free reputation management seminar, held 15 March in Grand Cayman and 16 March in Little Cayman.

The “Managing Your Online Reputation with TripAdvisor” seminar was co-developed by TripAdvisor and eCornell and leverages research from Cornell University’s world-renowned Trip advisor seminar 027 copySchool of Hotel Administration and faculty insights.

During the course, tourism professionals received guidance and best practices about how to monitor and improve the online reputation of their business. The course focused on building strategies and action plans for reputation management that will ultimately drive bookings and revenue.

“The Department of Tourism aims to assist private sector partners by empowering them to succeed through providing essential industry knowledge to assist managing their businesses,” said the Director of Tourism, Mrs. Rosa Harris. “Through this seminar, we hope to support local businesses to maximise their presence online, and specifically through TripAdvisor, to increase interactivity with guests, create a feedback loop, generate more bookings and increase revenues. Reputation Management is no longer a TripAdvisor Mrs. Carol Johnson, TripAdvisor’s Destination Sales Manager, Latin America and the Caribbeanluxury—it is a critical to every business’ sales and marketing strategy and we hope that the industry benefits from this specialised training.”

Specific areas of discussion centred around enhancing your TripAdvisor presence and increasing direct booking traffic, accessing free tools and data through the Management Centre, maintaining a positive online reputation, and implementing strategies to garner more reviews.
