Trees4Life donate to Cayman Islands flight scholarship

The Zak Quappe Flight Scholarship (“ZQFS”) is happy to receive a $3,000 donation from Trees4Life. Each year Trees4Life imports Fraser Fir Christmas Trees direct from North Carolina. The Fraser Fir is considered by many to be the most well adored of all the live trees. This is due to a combination of climate, altitude and their pleasing scent.

Please visit Trees4LifeCayman.com for more details.

The scholarship aims to support a young Caymanian in their quest to earn their private pilot’s license. The scholarship is inclusive covering costs such as flight school, training flights and travel expense to and from the US. The value of the scholarship runs between USD $12,000 and $15,000 and is awarded annually. Set up by the family of the late Zak Quappe, a commercial pilot and flight instructor who had a passion for flying from an early age.
