Tourism leaders hold community meetings in Cayman’s Sister Islands

The Ministry and Department of Tourism kicked off the first of its nationwide community meetings throughout February and March in the Sister Islands this week.

Residents on Cayman Brac gathered at the Aston Rutty Centre on Thursday, 1 February to hear highlights of the record-breaking success in tourism for 2017, updates on National Tourism Planning and prospective plans for 2018. Officials also traveled to Little Cayman on Friday, 2 February to engage community members and celebrate the Sister Islands’ collective contribution to the Cayman Islands tourism product. Attendees at both meetings had the opportunity to ask officials questions and air their concerns.

The meetings were led by the Deputy Premier and Minister for Tourism, The Honourable Moses Kirkconnell, along with Chief Officer Stran Boden and representatives from the Department of Tourism.
