Top residents attend 2018 Caribbean Dermatology Symposium

ARUBA, Netherlands Antilles, Feb. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — As part of the dermMentors™ Resident of Distinction Award™ program, sponsored by Beiersdorf Inc., five dermatology residents attended the 17th Annual Caribbean Dermatology Symposium, held in Aruba, Netherlands Antilles, from January 17-21, 2018.

The 2018 dermMentors™ Residents of Distinction – Daniel Callaghan, MD., of the Boston University School of Medicine, Dario Kivelevitch, MD., of Baylor University Medical Center, Tasneem Mohammad, MD., of Henry Ford Hospital, Joshua Owen, MD., of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and Peggy Schwarz, MD., of Boston University School of Medicine – attended the Caribbean Dermatology Symposium scientific sessions as well as networking events with top thought leaders in dermatology. The residents presented new scientific research during an independent mentoring session, which was held on Saturday, January 20.

Dario Kivelevitch, MD., a third-year resident in dermatology at Baylor University Medical Center, was awarded the overall grand prize for his presentation, entitled: “The Role of Skin Inflammation in Darier’s Disease Severity.”
