Thieves break into Cayman Islands George Town Police Station – UPDATED

A man, aged 32 of George Town, was arrested this morning, 23 November, on suspicion of criminal trespass, damage to property and attempted theft, in connection with the attempted theft of a motorcycle from the rear of the GTPS early yesterday morning.

He is currently in police custody.

 

Early Wednesday (22) morning two hooded males tried to steal a motorcycle!

To obtain the motorcycle the thieves had to break into the back lot at the rear of the police station.

They did!

At the rear of the station is the motorcycle enclosure.

By chance, or good luck, officers engaged in another matter, spotted the would be robbers and the thieves fled and made their escape.

Attempted Theft at George Town Police Station, 22 November

Police are investigating the attempted theft of a motorcycle from the rear of the George Town Police Station early this morning, 22 November. Two hooded males gained entry to the back lot of the station and it appears that they attempted to steal a motorcycle from a motorcycle enclosure. They were disrupted by officers engaged in another matter and fled on foot.
