Theft of items on a boat reported, Two juveniles arrested, Sunday 29 October

Shortly after 11:30pm on Sunday evening 29 October, the 9-1-1 Communication Centre received a report of a theft in the vicinity of Shorewinds Trail, West Bay, where four male juveniles had stolen items off a boat and then fled the scene on bicycles. Officers responded immediately and came upon four males riding bicycles who refused to stop when ordered to do so. Officers pursued the suspects and apprehended two of them after a foot chase. The juveniles were then searched and a substance suspected to be ganja, snorkel gear, and flare gun cartridges were recovered. The officers arrested one juvenile on suspicion of theft, possession and consumption of ganja, failure to provide name and address, and criminal trespass; the second was arrested for failure to provide a name and address and on suspicion of criminal trespass.  They are currently in Police custody.
