BriCorporations, Governmental entities, Organizations, churches, orphanages, college students and advocates for orphans worldwide are all asked to take an action step of love to help even one orphan or foster child. The heart of the day is to reach out and help make the life of orphans better. That day, founded by Cheryl Robeson Piggott, is World Orphans Day November 14. It is commemorated on the Second Monday in November since 2009.

The Facts are staggering, as there are more than 140,000,000 children worldwide who have only one parent, and are described as an orphan according to UNICEF. There are over 20,000,000 orphans in India alone. In the USA foster care system, over 20,000 depart and have no place to call home after transitioning out of foster care. Over 1.5 new orphans have been left oppressed and without proper resources and support due to COVID alone, according to UNICEF. Native American reservations in both America and Canada are tremendously impacted by the severe economic impacts, and food and medical insecurity are their greatest challenges. African wars and economic unrest continue to leave children starving for food.

These are some of the messages that the Ambassadors of Goodwill and VIPs will be gathering to convey to the world. It is important for the high-profile artists of Nashville come to the aid of the many, many neglected children around the world, and do what they can through music, resources, and love to make their world a better place.

Our World Orphans Day premier event is a private film shoot staged at the Mockingbird Theater. It is a closed event. Meanwhile, thousands of churches and orphan care organizations will be commemorating the day in various ways, around the world.
