George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (18 January 2022) – The CFA Society Cayman Islands and Cayman Enterprise City (CEC) have combined efforts to deliver a series of industry focused events designed for the Cayman Islands financial services sector. The programme of events will feature key industry trends and original market research, with subjects including traditional investments, virtual assets, commodities, derivatives, and related topics.

The live series of monthly discussions will act as a continuation of The CFA Society’s member value programs and the “Fin Talks” discussions that were launched by CEC in April 2021. “The growing number of financial sector discussions available in Cayman have undoubtedly created a new opportunity for networking, learning, and growth opportunities,” explained Charlie Kirkconnell, CEC’s Chief Executive Officer. “We’re thrilled to partner with The CFA Society to deliver an even more robust series of events and continue our efforts in building a stronger business and finance-focused community in the Cayman Islands.”

“This partnership will undoubtedly provide a platform for the CFA Society Cayman Islands to fulfill its mission, to be the forum for investment professionals in the Cayman Islands and enhance the financial services industry by promoting high ethical behavior, professional excellence, and educational development”, added Richard Maparura, President of the CFA Society Cayman Islands.

Events will take place throughout the year and will include panel discussions, special lectures, guest speakers and more.

The first event of 2022, titled “Return Stacking: Strategies for Overcoming a Low Return Environment”, will be presented by guest speaker Adam Butler, Chief Investment Officer of ReSolve Asset Management Global SEZC. The original research delineates how to combine novel ETF and mutual fund offerings available to everyday investors in order to keep their traditional market exposures and stack alternative returns on top in ways that were not available until recently.

This event will take place on Thursday, 27 January 2022 at 5:30pm at the Casanova Restaurant. Admission is free however space is limited as the event will offer socially distanced seating.
