Terrifying faceless illusion makeup

Terrifying faceless illusion makeup is straight out of a Salvador Dali painting

By RACHEL THOMPSON From Mashable

Squiggle brows and penis-shaped eyeliner might not be your kinda scene when it comes to daring makeup looks. But, this, err, bold makeup look by Vancouver-based makeup artist Mim Choi is one that’ll turn heads wherever you go.

Choi’s terrifying makeup look takes its inspiration from the work of surrealist artist Salvador Dali.

It took Choi a solid 1.5 hours to create the look using Kryolan makeup and a Makeup Forever palette.

From afar, it looks as if Choi’s face is one big black hole. But, if you adjust the brightness on your screen, you’ll be able to spot the outline of her facial features.

“If you look closely, you will see my features disguised in the black and red paints,” writes Choi.

This isn’t the first time Choi has attempted a Dali-inspired creation. She’s also created a makeup look inspired by Dali’s iconic painting entitled “The Persistence of Memory.”

Sadly, you’ll need to stand next to a black wall with your eyes closed for the makeup to look fully convincing.

Attempt this at your peril!
