Team Nolan Cayman Heart Fund

(January 2nd, 2020) Team Nolan programme, the pediatric arm of the Cayman Heart Fund, raises public awareness and provides financial assistance to families in Cayman when their child is born with a congenital heart defect, assisting them with expenses associated with urgent pediatric cardiology healthcare. Financial aid may be granted, for example, to assist in the following instances:

1. accommodation or airfare;

2. assistance with paying for utilities, food, etc.; or

3. assisting with taking necessary time off work.

Over the holidays, Team Nolan was honored to visit and present a donation to a family in need. Baby Mirella was born with Tetralogy of Fallot (a combination of four congenital abnormalities. The four defects include a ventricular septal defect (VSD), pulmonary valve stenosis, a misplaced aorta and a thickened right ventricular wall [right ventricular hypertrophy]) and Down Syndrome. She has been hospitalized at Health City for over 4 months after many Heart Surgeries.

Ailian Evans, CHF Board Member & Founder of Team Nolan, said, as a heart mom it is so rewarding to see that with our efforts and fund-raising initiatives in the loving memory of our heart angel son, we are helping others in need. I know Nolan is proud of the legacy that we are creating. I liked spending time with the family and giving emotional support on their journey as heart parents. I can for sure say that Nolan has taught me compassion, resilience and to never give up.
