Strawberry trees: solar-powered street furniture to charge your devices

In the coming years, cities of the world will probably see a new kind of tree pop-up in their parks. These trees don’t produce oxygen, but a resource that has become almost as vital for smartphone owners: electricity.

Named Strawberry trees, these solar-powered device chargers also act as protective spaces for the people passing by. The trees were created by a team of young Serbian idealist who are looking for smarter and more eco-friendly cities.

Stylish and practical, these chargers can become tremendously useful in many industries: smart cities, real estate, university campuses, telecom companies, and transit stations.

The company also provides other products: smart benches, the Strawberry mini, or the Strawberry mini rural. In my opinion, the latest is the most interesting, as it brings energy in areas where it’s impossible to get it another way.
