STEM CARIB 2016 to be hosted by Cayman Islands University

With its theme, “CREATE YOUR FUTURE”, STEM Carib 2016, Cayman’s landmark Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics conference will take attendees on a journey that will expose them to new discoveries in artificial intelligence, drone technology, virtual reality and other topics.
Opening Reception and Keynote Address
STEM Carib 2016 Conference will open with a cocktail reception and keynote presentation by NASA Scientist and Roboticist Dave Lavery.

unnamedMr. Lavery is responsible for management of the design and development of the next generation of Mars exploration spacecraft, and the advanced technologies to enable them. He is currently the Program Executive for Mars Science Laboratory mission, which landed on Mars in August 2012, and the MAVEN orbiter mission which arrived at Mars in September 2014. He is also responsible for the Mars Exploration Rover and the joint European-U.S. Mars Express missions, which have been operating on Mars since early 2004. These projects have a total combined budget of over $5 billion.
