Start the New Year with HBO’S exclusive January movie lineup in the Caribbean

paranoia_ver2_xlgMiami, FL – December 19, 2014 – HBO announces its exclusive movie premieres for the month of January, each premiering on Saturdays at 21:00hrs. AST* in the Caribbean.

Directed by Robert Luketic, Paranoia (Saturday, January 3rd) is an American thriller based on the 2004 novel by Joseph Finder. Adam Cassidy (Liam Hemsworth) gets a job at a powerful corporation led by Nicolas Wyatt (Gary Oldman) and, with the threat of facing fraud charges, is blackmailed into becoming a spy to obtain secrets from their rival company. What at first Adam thought of as a clever game later turns into a dangerous web he must now escape. Among the cast are Amber Heard (Emma Jennings), Harrison Ford (Augustine Goddard) and Lucas Till (Kevin).

lee-daniels-the-butler-blu-ray-cover-14The Butler (Saturday, January 10th), a historical drama directed and produced by Lee Daniels, is loosely based on the real life of Eugene Allen. Forest Whitaker stars as Cecil Gaines, an African-American who gets hired as a butler at the White House and, over the course of his 34-year tenure, witnesses not only the inner workings of the oval office, but also notable events that shaped history in the 20th century. The film also stars Oprah Winfrey as his wife, Gloria, along with David Oyelowo, Elijah Kelley, David Banner and Mariah Carey.

As sequel to Marvel’s superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Saturday, January 17th), directed by Marc Webb, chronicles the now-confident Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) as he grows into his role as a superhero and battles to fight his love for

Peter is faced with an enemy far more powerful than he, and when his old friend Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan) returns, Peter realizes that his enemies have one thing in common: Oscorp.

Directed by John Lee Hancock, Saving Mr. Banks (Saturday, January 24th) is based on the creation of the 1964 Walt saving-mr-banks-570Disney Studios film Mary Poppins. Starring Emma Thompson as P. L. Travers and Tom Hanks as Walt Disney, this film chronicles Disney’s the 20-year quest to obtain film rights to turn Travers’ Mary Poppins stories. After struggling through the collaborative creative process, Travers eventually warms up to the final result and is overcome with emotion.

In the dark comedy slasher film You’re Next (Saturday, January 31st), a family reunion turns into a full-on massacre when an upper-class family attempts to rekindle their relationship at their vacation home. In the middle of the parents’ wedding anniversary dinner, crossbow-wielding assailants in animal masks begin to attack in a ruthless mission to murder the family. The Davisons are forced to pull together – unless no one is meant to survive. Among the cast are Sharni Vinson, Nicholas Tucci, Wendy Glenn, A.J. Bowen and Joe Swanberg. Directed by Adam Wingard.
