the Caribbean after the summer ends

Saying goodbye to the Caribbean after the summer ends is not an easy thing to do. Who can just leave that beautiful place? With their fresh seafood and fruit, the Caribbean seems to be a heaven on earth. The most beautiful beaches in the world are located on these islands. And so are amazing exclusive hotels, restaurant, bars, spas, etc. Everything here makes you want to stay. But once the summer and your summer vacation are over, it’s time to face reality and go back home. To make your Caribbean experience even better, saying goodbye properly to the Caribbean after the summer ends is not a bad idea. And to do so, you need to visit all the places worth remembering. That’s exactly the topic we are going to write about here.

Beaches you must visit before leaving the Caribbean

The Maho Beach

The Maho beach is definitely an Instagram-picture-worthy beach, and visiting it would certainly be a perfect way of saying goodbye to the Caribbean. To be honest, all of the beaches here are heavenly, but this one stands out for one particular reason. Maho Beach is located next to the runway at St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport. This means you will be able to swim while jumbo jets fly over your head just seconds before landing. You have surely seen pictures of this beach online. It is very easy to get to and it just might be the first beach you see while landing.

This beach is not in its best condition because it is still recovering from big hurricanes from a few years back but it is still very popular tourist attraction. So if you have the time, spare some and visit this unique beach. And if you don’t have time, we suggest you make some before you leave the Caribbean because you won’t regret it. The best time to visit this beach is right when the summer ends as that is when there aren’t many tourists left there so you will be able to enjoy this beach even more.

Jalousie Beach, St. Lucia

Not easy to get to but definitely worth visiting before saying goodbye to the Caribbean. It’s located between Gros Piton and Petit Piton and it’s a public beach by law. The only way to access this beach is via a water taxi to Jalousie Bay or with your own boat. The underwater nature is to die for, so don’t forget your snorkeling gear. Spending an afternoon with your significant other or your family here will make you want to relocate your belongings to your new address in the Caribbean because you will fall in love with the islands even more.

Bathsheba Beach, Barbados

Barbados is one of the islands in the Caribbean. And the Bathsheba beach is the one we think you must absolutely pay a visit to while you are still there. Natural rock formations in the sea will blow your mind. It is something you haven’t seen before for sure. Huge naturally-placed rocks in the shallow waters of the Atlantic Ocean are not something you see every day unless you live in Barbados. Sadly, this beach isn’t one of the benefits of starting over in Hamilton but it is a certainly a benefit of starting over in Barbados.

This beach is a popular spot for surf competitions because of the good waves during the autumn days. So if surfing is something you like doing, this beach is where you should go after the summer ends. You might even have luck and see one of the competitions live. Many people come to see these competitions. They are filled with fun, laughter and good music. This is the perfect way to keep these Islands in a good memory after saying goodbye to the Caribbean and leaving home.

Other places you have to visit before you say goodbye

Besides these few beaches, there are other places you have to see in the Caribbean. Dunn’s River Falls & Park is your first stop.

Dunn’s River Falls & Park

Jamaica’s top tourist attraction is definitely this incredible natural wonder. It a complex of waterfalls but it doesn’t look like it was created naturally. It seems as if some other-worldly species created it in a lab and places it on Earth. That’s the best way to describe it. Summertime is when there is plenty of tourists here but if you happen to be in the Caribbean once the summer ends, take this opportunity and visit these waterfalls.

The best way to understand how beautiful it is here is to visit this place. Pictures don’t do this place justice.

Stingray City

When we are talking about the Caribbean we can’t forget to mention the Stingray City. If you have ever seen people on TV or the internet swim and feed stingrays, the chances are it was in Stingray City. This is also one of the most popular tourist attractions. You can find this place in the North Sound of Grand Cayman. You can either stand in meter-deep water or you can arrange scuba dives where you can sit on the sandy ocean floor with them. Both options are as amazing as they sound and you won’t regret visiting this place. You will do something unique and unforgettable. Plus, it is a very nice way to spend one of your last days here. But be careful even though the stingrays are friendly and used to people.

Try the world’s best coffee

If you are a coffee lover like many, The Blue Mountains of Jamaica are known for the world’s best coffee. You have the chance to learn more about growing and production. But most importantly, you can try and purchase this coffee for yourself or as a gift before you finally say goodbye to the Caribbean. The roads are tricky but the views are spectacular on the way up through the mountain. Once you get up there, you can drink your coffee in peace and enjoy the beautiful view from the top. This is the perfect way to say your last goodbyes until you come back again next summer to the Caribbean islands.
