Sarah Palin has signed on to have her own Judge Judy-like television courtroom after Montana-based Warm Springs Productions agreed to create a syndicated daytime series for the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, Variety reported.

Larry Lyttle, who produced “Judge Judy” and “Judge Joe Brown,” while he was at CBS’s Big Ticket Entertainment, is connected to the Palin project as executive producer, said Variety. The show is being shopped around for a fall 2017 debut.
Palin had been out on the campaign trail supporting Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump but recently returned to Alaska after her husband Todd was admitted to intensive car at Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer after a snowmobile accident earlier this month, according to Reuters.

Lyttle told TMZ that Palin will shoot a pilot for the shoot “in the next few months” and then it will be marketed.

“Small issue … Palin’s not a judge,” wrote TMZ. “Lyttle says not necessary, because she’ll preside over ‘the courtroom of common sense,’ adding, ‘She’s appointed judges and is well equipped as a former governor to preside over cases.'”

While Palin has never been a judge, she has had plenty of television experience as an on-air contributor for Fox News and led the TLC family reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska,” noted Variety.

A source told People magazine that Palin signed the contract with Warm Springs back in February and she has the qualities to be successful on television.

“Palin’s telegenic personality, wide appeal and common sense wisdom make her a natural for this kind of format and she was Warm Springs’ top pick for this project,” the source told People.

Warm Springs Productions is connected with the History Channel show “Mountain Men” along with the Fox News’ 10-part series “Legends and Lies,” which was executive produced by Bill O’Reilly, among other shows, according to its website.
