Preliminary count shows 20,817 voters on Cayman Islands List

Preliminary counts of registered voters in the new Electoral Districts for the May 2017 General Elections show 20,817 on the electors’ list, according to the Elections Office.

Caymanians who will be 18 and above on 24 May 2017 have time only midnight TONIGHT (Monday,16 January 2017) to register and get their names on the voters’ list.

The Elections Office in Grand Cayman and the Registering Officer in Cayman Brac stayed open until midnight Monday (16) to receive forms for new voter registration and forms of persons wanting to update their name address or occupation.

On Saturday, the Elections Office in Grand Cayman, which was especially open for registration, reported a fairly steady stream of persons visiting to either register for the first time or to check their details already on the voters’ list to ensure all the details are correct and current.

The list of electors by new electoral district in revised format with all new registrations and updates up to midnight tonight will be issued on 31 January 2017.

The preliminary electors’ list by new electoral district as updated on Thursday, 12 January 2017, is as follows:
