Three other persons were charged [January 15] with the unlawful killing of
British teen, Dominic Bernard.

Krystol Thomas, 20; her mother, Sifanie Henry, 39, also known as Coreen; and Jamel Sinclair,19, also known as ‘Frass’ and ‘Bacchus’ were all brought before Chief Magistrate Ann Mclennan charged with murder.

Thomas is the girlfriend of Aarom Hing, 22, who is the brother of Bernard and one of two persons who was charged yesterday for the teen’s murder.

The trio was not required to plead to the indictable that said on October 14 at Kildonan Village, Corentyne, East Berbice, they murdered Dominic Bennard. The matter was transferred to Whim Magistrate Court for January 21.

Altogether, five persons have been charged and were remanded to prison.

A total of seven persons were taken into custody for the murder of the British teen, who went missing just after he arrived in Guyana in October. Prior to charges being laid, the police, on Monday, approached the High Court for an order to extend their detention of the suspects beyond the 72-hour limit. Their request was approved.

Of the seven suspects, two of them, Bernard’s god-brother and another, confessed to the murder. Police have since recovered several of the teen’s belongings. The god-brother was nabbed while hiding out in a hotel and it is believed that someone who he has been in contact with has been sharing information with the police, unknowing to him.

Two suspects told police that the murder was part of a robbery. The teen’s god-brother, according to police sources, confessed to paying one of the suspects in custody a sum of $150,000 to help him kill Bernard.

The decomposed body found in the shallow grave in Berbice on Friday January 8 was been confirmed to be that of the British teenager a few days after the gruesome discovery.

The decomposed body was decked in a blue long-sleeve hoody and long blue jeans and a white v-neck on the inside- the identical clothes the teen was wearing when he left the UK in October last year.
