From RCIPS

Police Operation and Arrests on Cayman Brac This Past Weekend, 3-5 March

Last Friday, 3 March, officers executed an operation at an address on Blazer Drive in Cayman Brac during which a number of persons, cars, and a residence were searched.   Small quantities of ganja and cocaine were recovered, and a 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of ganja with intent to supply, while a 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of ganja and cocaine. Both men are from Cayman Brac and are currently on Police bail.

During the operation, two gold-coloured rings were recovered (photos attached).  Police are asking that anyone who may have information regarding this jewellery contact the Cayman Brac Police Station at 948-0331.

In addition, on Saturday, 4 March, Cayman Brac officers responded to a report of burglary and car theft near Spot Bay, and arrested a man, age 36 from George Town, on suspicion of burglary and taking a vehicle without the consent of the owner. He was bailed.

The following day, Sunday, 5 March, police responded to a report of a car that had crashed in the vicinity of the old airport on Cayman Brac; it appeared that the car had been crashed while in the process of being stolen.  The same 36-year-old man arrested the previous day was arrested again on suspicion of other offences, including possession of ganja.  He is currently in Police custody.
