From RCIPS

Just after 6:20AM today, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist.

The incident took place at the junction of Walkers Road and Memorial Avenue in George Town and officers are currently carrying out investigations at the scene of the collision. As such, the road roadway at Walkers road and Memorial Avenue has been closed and traffic is being diverted to South Church Street through Boiler’s Road and Melmac Avenue, respectively.

Motorists are being asked to avoid this area and to expect delays. The RCIPS apologises for any inconveniences caused.
