Jack Sparrow is allegedly not yet ready to look for Poseidon’s lost trident in the upcoming fifth movie of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise.

Much of the rumors about the delay of “Dead Men Tell No Tales” are being attributed to actor Johnny Depp, who played the iconic pirate in all four films. News of his no-show in the shoots on the Gold Coast has hit the newsstands recently and the production team is reportedly very disappointed with him. As per Yahoo TV, Depp’s absence on the set was allegedly because of his continued spat with ex-wife Amber Heard. Because of this, the production has been delayed.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson of the Australian breakfast radio show “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” was first to reveal the rumor, stating that the film crew themselves told her about the problem.

“I remember talking to some crew members from Pirates Of The Caribbean and they just said, ‘Working on that was a nightmare.’ He would never turn up [for work] because they were always fighting,” the DJ told her listeners.

In May, the couple surprised the world when they announced that they would divorce. Heard then demanded that she be given financial support after the split. Depp then counter-attacked that the actress cheated on him with Billy Bob Thornton. Not to be outdone, Heard claimed she was a victim of domestic violence.

Throughout this messy affair, Depp was supposed to be preparing for “Pirates of the Caribbean 5.” The movie is set to hit the cinemas on May 26, 2017. The story will revolve around Sparrow’s attempt to find the trident of the God of the Sea before Capt. Salazar (Javier Bardem) can capture him.

As per Parent Herald, Disney has not even started the official promotions for the movie. Out of the original cast, Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush, among others, will reprise their roles as Will Turner and Capt. Barbossa, respectively. New faces set to grace the screen are Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, who will play Will’s son Henry, and Kaya Scodelario as Carina Smyth.
