New Video “Reflections on 1990: The Year of Malcolm X — by Dr. Ron Daniels”

From IBW21

Dear Friends,

We’re proud to share a new video release featuring Dr. Ron Daniels, President of the Institute of the Black World 21st Century, as he reflects on a pivotal moment in Black history—1990: The Year of Malcolm X.

In this powerful reflection, Dr. Daniels—activist, educator, and Pan-African advocate—revisits the unforgettable 1990 tribute to Malcolm X at Abyssinian Baptist Church and the historic organizing effort that mobilized communities across the country.

From the grassroots movement that brought thousands together in Harlem and Omaha, Nebraska, to the ongoing work to uplift the legacy of Louise Langdon Little (Malcolm X’s mother) in Grenada, Dr. Daniels weaves past and present into a rousing call for resistance, remembrance, and renewal in 2025—the 100th birthday year of Malcolm X.

Key moments in the video include:
– The 1990 Malcolm X Commemoration at Abyssinian Baptist Church
– Launching the national “Year of Malcolm X” campaign
– Remembering Louise Langdon Little in Grenada
– Uplifting Black legacy and organizing in 2025
