Miss Cayman Islands Universe gets ready for world stage

Caitlin Tyson, the reigning Miss Cayman Islands Universe, has begun preparations for the upcoming 67th annual Miss Universe pageant in December in Thailand. She is currently in the U.S. training with Anatasga Pierre, a renown pageant coach who provides guidance in the areas of runway, etiquette and wardrobe, among other things.

Committee Chairperson, Derri Dacres-Lee, is delighted that the committee has once again secured training with Anatasia, who has trained some of our past queens. “This training will provide Caitlin with extra support and guidance for her pageantry experience, from which she will benefit in many ways. This would not be possible without the continual support of our Corporate and in-kind sponsors, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their continual support in the lead up to Miss Universe and throughout the year.”

This year’s costume for Miss Universe was designed by K. Rose, a luxury evening wear & bridal brand based in the Cayman Islands founded in 2015 by designer Kenzie Rose. Caitlin will be departing for Miss Universe in mid-November, with the pageant date set for Sunday, 16 December 2018. The committee will also be hosting a viewing party at a local venue and will share details once confirmed.
