Miss Cayman draws closer

The Miss Cayman annual pageant has set its date for September 24th 2011 at the Lion’s Community Centre.

The ten contestants have had training with fashion professionals for several months in etiquette, runway posture, interview techniques and public speaking. They have gained lots of knowledge from this experience, which they are ready to take to the contest.

Committee Chair, Ms. Lynn Bodden applauded the ladies for their dedication and unyielding efforts during this time.

“These contestants are extremely hard working and committed to becoming the next Miss Cayman Islands. All ten of them are true winners in our eyes and we wish them all the best in the pageant.”

The young ladies will next appear at a fashion show fundraiser at Tiki Beach on Thursday September 15th followed by their motorcade on Saturday September 17th.

The pageant’s theme this year is ‘Island Paradise’ which is sure to wow the public.

The doors open at 5:30pm to ensure early seating. General admission tickets are $30 and children’s are $15.

Tickets are now on sale at Sand Angels at Camana Bay, Just Add Water at Governor’s Square, The Ministry of Tourism see Ms. Dawn McLean-Sawney, Miss Cayman contestant and committee members.

Children under the age of 12 will have discounted tickets and VIP is sold out.

Ms. Bodden added a vote of thanks to all those who have helped with the pageant so far.
