Update (6 March):

The man, age 43 of North Side, who was arrested on Thursday, 2 March in relation to a serious assault at an address in North Side, has now been formally charged with Assault GBH in relation to the incident.

He appears in court today, 6 March.

Initial Release (3 March):

Shortly after 8:10PM on Thursday, 2 March, officers were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a serious assault at an address in North Side. It was reported that two men had been involved in an altercation, during which one of the men struck the other in the head with an object. Emergency services attended the location and the injured man was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance, to be treated for wounds to his head.

Officers subsequently located the other man involved, age 43 of North Side, and arrested him on suspicion of Wounding. He remains in custody as investigations continue.

The matter remains under investigation and anyone with information or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Bodden Town CID at 947-2220.
