The 22-year-old man who was arrested last week in connection with a shooting in Hirst Road, Savannah, on 19 January, has now been charged.

He has been charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, threats to kill, and resisting arrest.

It is anticipated that he will appear in court on Wednesday 1 February 2012.

Police enquiries are ongoing.
