A 34-year-old man has been charged in connection with a robbery at Magnum Jewellers last month.

The robbery took place around 11.20 am on 22 December 2011 at Magnum Jewellers in Cardinall Avenue. The suspects entered the store, smashed display cases and made off in a stolen Rav 4. The vehicle was found burnt out a short time later in Wahoo Close, George Town.

The man  was arrested on suspicion of robbery and various other offences following a police operation in the Windsor park area on 10 January. As a result of that operation a quantity of jewellery was recovered.
