Lions deliver Christmas cheer to 200 families

Lion President Belinda Blessitt Vincent presenting groceries.

Christmas came early for 200 families in Grand Cayman this year when on Friday, December 23, baskets filled with groceries were delivered to these families by the  members and friends of the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens and employees of Camana Bay and Regatta Office Park.

Ed Semans, Senior Property Manager for Dart Realty (Cayman) Ltd. explained that Dart Realty wanted to give many families in the Cayman Islands who were struggling to make ends meet, a memorable Christmas, and this was possible by partnering with the LCTG in the Christmas basket initiative once again this year. Colleen Cummings, Assistant Property Manager for Dart Realty, agreed and said that delivering the baskets, talking to the families and seeing the smiles on their faces was a very satisfying experience.

Lion Belinda Blessitt Vincent, President of the LCTG expressed her thanks on behalf of the Club.  She said that this project would not have been possible without the altruistic spirit of Camana Bay and Regatta Office Park and she hoped that this partnership will continue into the New Year.  “The happy faces and positive responses from those persons who received baskets said it all”, she said.  “This is really what Christmas is, she said, “sharing and caring.”
