LIME problems

OJ008-028LIME sent out a text message on Monday (25) informing their customers they were currently unable to call customers on other networks due to technical issues.

Although not saying what these technical issues were CITN-Cayman27 on their website said there had been a fibre cut in Jamaica and this meant [LIME] customers were unable to call customers on other networks.

“Our technicians are working to resolve the issue and I will keep you informed of any update,” LIME marketing manager Julie Hutton said.

If one goes to the LIME website there is absolutely zero on this problem. All the website news on it lauds the fibre optics they are putting in and all the “real deals” and promotions.

When it comes to “real news” that matters to their customers you have to find it elsewhere.

Only after people complained via Facebook did they respond with:

LIME is experiencing technical difficulties. You may not be able to reach numbers from other telecomms providers. However, you are still able to make LIME to LIME calls. We are working to get the issue corrected as soon as possible and apologise for the inconvenience.

This was along with another message informing someone they had won a flat screen TV and how the recipient loved LIME TV.

Ahem ….  I thought LIME’s primary business was telecommunications – the TELEPHONE!!!

LIME announced at approx. 3:30 PM Monday afternoon (by way of text messaging) they had finally resolved the connectivity problem and apologised for any inconvenience.
