Pamela Ebanks-Small, Vice-President, Commercial and Customer Care at Logic and a former Miss Cayman, fondly remembers her Leadership Cayman experience in 2014. ‘’I learned so much about the public sector and the challenges we face as a country. I was able to meet so many people that are still close friends today.”

Leadership Cayman, a signature programme of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, held its annual alumni reception at the Grand Old House last week to welcome the 2021 class and provided information for persons who wish to apply for one of 24 seats in the 2022 class. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 12th.

Launched by the Chamber in 2010, Leadership Cayman is a six-month experience that provides leaders in our community with an opportunity to hone their leadership skills, network with other leaders across industry sectors and gain an in depth understanding of all aspects of the Cayman Islands society.

Caymanians and legal residents 25 years or older who have attained a middle management position and have resided in the Cayman Islands at least one year are encouraged to apply. Once accepted, the 2022 class will attend a welcome reception, opening retreat and bi-weekly seminars on a range of topics addressing social, political, and economic issues. Some of Cayman’s top leaders in the public and private sectors are invited to address the class each year. Class members have direct access to top decision makers.

“I am always delighted to catch up with LC graduates and to hear how they have applied their experience and insights gained through their LC experience into their professional and personal lives. If you are seeking a programme to hone your leadership skills, gain an in depth understanding of Cayman society and meet some amazing leaders who become lifelong friends I would encourage you to apply.  LC is an experience I will always cherish,” said Chamber President Mike Gibbs, a 2019 LC graduate.

Leadership Cayman is proudly supported by Cox Lumber Ltd., RBC Royal Bank (Cayman) Limited, and Wheaton Precious Metals. Leadership Cayman sponsorship opportunities are still available.
