As the CEO of the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund, Tangen oversees the equivalent of just under $2 trillion in oil riches now invested across shares, bonds, real estate and renewable infrastructure. The Norwegian fund’s investments — which account for almost 1.5% of all shares in the world’s listed companies — impact big and small business and governments around the world, shaping views on global portfolio flows.
Reuters Editor Elisa Martinuzzi will lead a discussion with Tangen, a former hedge fund manager, on his outlook for global economies amid heightened geopolitical tension, financial market risks and returns, the trajectory for AI adoption, and what becomes of ESG investment, which he has described as “the future of human kind”.
