The 2018 Flowers Sea Swim’s annual charity dinner will be hosted this year by the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre at the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort on Thursday June 14^th.

The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre has just confirmed Golden Globe and Emmy award winning actor and producer, Mr Kelsey Grammer.

“We are excited to officially announce Kelsey Grammer as our celebrity speaker at this year’s gala,” said Ms Ania Milanowska, Executive Director of the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre. “Mr Grammer is an advocate against domestic violence and we’re honoured to have him speak at this event in support of our organization.”

The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre is raising funds at the gala for their ‘Raise the Roof’ campaign to construct a new purpose built shelter for women, men and children that are victims of domestic abuse.

Ms Dara Flowers Burke, Director of the Flowers Group, said she is again looking forward to the gala as part of the Flowers Sea Swim weekend of events. “Each year we hold this gala to feature the visiting Olympians and to use as a fundraising platform for a local charity”, Mrs Flowers Burke said. “The Cayman Islands Crisis Centre is the beneficiary for the Flowers Sea Swim, Walk & Watch and this gala. This charity contributes so much to the local community and we are happy the funds raised from these events will help the Crisis Centre reach their goal to build a new shelter.”

This annual gala also invites 19 international swimmers, including 11 Olympians, 7 of which are gold medalists.

A live and silent auction will take place with all proceeds going to the Crisis Centre.
