The police are probing the circumstances which led to an eight year-old American boy drowning at the Bahia Principe Hotel in Runaway Bay, St. Ann on Saturday.

He has been identified as Antoine Bookard of a Philadelphia address.

It’s reported that about 5 o’clock, Antoine was in the pool with family members.

RJR News understands that the pool was closed at the time.

The boy was later found unresponsive.

Antoine was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
