Invixium signs deals with Security Centres International, Laidlaw Security Systems

Biometric products developer Invixium Access Inc. has signed two separate agreements with Caribbean security and life safety advisory and delivery firm Security Centres International Ltd. (SCI) and UK security systems firm Laidlaw Security Systems.

SCI, which is now a preferred VAR for Cayman Islands along with 28 other Caribbean countries, will distribute Invixium’s full suite of products including IXM MERGE, IXM MYCRO, IXM SENSE, IXM TOUCH for enterprise access and smart home customers, projects and installations requiring secure and convenient user authentication.

After being introduced to Invixium via mutual partner Control4 and experiencing the company’s biometric products first hand at CEDIA 2016, SCI and Invixium began discussing a partnership.

SCI said it was impressed by Invixium product line’s functionality, contemporary design, easy-to-navigate features, and durability to withstand even Caribbean weather conditions.

“Since becoming a Control4 dealer, we have seen a huge growth in residential and commercial automation solutions, Invixium’s compatibility with Control4 is a huge advancement in this space likely to push that growth even further,” said Stuart Bostock, president and CEO of SCI. “Like us, Invixium are well established in the security industry, and we also look to build on their reputable brand and access control solutions in this sector – so we couldn’t be more excited to work with them in bringing this incredible product to the rest of the Caribbean.”

Invixium’s biometric products can be integrated with leading access control panel manufacturers for enterprise access deployments, as well as with home automation controllers like Control4 and Savant for smart home installations.

The IXM product line are the only biometric products certified in the Smart Home space, which expands the opportunities for all Invixium partners.

In a separate agreement, Laidlaw Security Systems is fully integrating Invixium biometric readers into its security portfolio of products to provide customers.

“This is an exciting development for Laidlaw. By integrating technology from Invixium, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of premium biometric systems, into our security systems, we are able to offer our customers robust, future-proof products of the highest quality,” said Stuart Griffiths, Laidlaw Security Systems’ UK sales director. “We pride ourselves at being at the forefront of innovation when it comes to our security systems and partnering with Invixium will undoubtedly give us the edge. Its revolutionary technology is the perfect complement to our product portfolio.”

Invixium is integrated into Orbis, Laidlaw’s license-free software that offers a range of features for any access system, including alarm processing, card format decoding, and device management as standard.

The Invixium biometric readers combine an advanced matching algorithm at 10,000 matches per second along with multispectral fingerprint sensor technology provided by Lumidigm, which optimizes performance and generates high quality images.

The sensors detect the subsurface fingerprint, which increases biometric performance and boosts the throughput and accuracy of any application, resulting in nearly zero failure to enroll rates.

“Biometric access control is the future“In addition to incorporating various technologies and feverish focus on quality, we give paramount importance to design and usability,” says Shiraz Kapadia, CEO and president of Invixium. “We are delighted with Laidlaw’s decision to incorporate our innovative biometric products into its Orbis software platform, providing a great opportunity for its customers to upgrade existing installations with biometric access control seamlessly.”

Previously reported, Invixium partnered with AV distributor RGB Communications in an exclusive deal that will see RGB offer Invixium fingerprint readers as part of its line of Internet of Things products
