In solidarity with women?

International Women’s Day is next week! We want to celebrate all the amazing actions you’ve taken to support women, who are disproportionately affected by modern day slavery.

Women and girls make up 71% of modern slavery victims,[1]especially victims of forced marriage, trafficking for sexual exploitation, and domestic servitude. So every action taken is an action for them.

Maybe you’ve strengthened our call by supporting a campaign that’s important to you, or you’ve talked to your friends and family about modern slavery. You might have written to a business or public official letting them know you expect them to play their part in creating change. In some shape or form, you’ve contributed to the abolitionist movement.

Sounds like you or a woman you know? We want to hear all about it.

I joined Freedom United because ––––––––––. I’ve been inspired by ––––. I’ve taken action against modern slavery by –––––––––.
My message to you on International Women’s Day is: join me!

Send us your video or message here and we’ll share your story so that we can celebrate International Women’s Day together.

In solidarity,

Joanna Ewart-James
Executive Director, Freedom United
