Hit and run motor collision in BT

Uniform officers from the Bodden Town Police Station are interested in speaking with the driver of a red SUV who stopped to render assistance to two pedestrians struck by a vehicle on Shamrock Road, outside the Savannah Primary School around 6:50pm Monday 26 January 2015.

Emergency crews were called to Savannah where two male pedestrians, crossing on the pedestrian walk were struck by what is believed to be a light colour sport car travelling east towards Bodden Town. The driver did not stop.

A 14 year old male living in Savannah Acres suffered serious injuries to his head and left leg, was admitted to the George Town Hospital. He is said to be in a stable condition. His brother, 21 years of age also received injuries to his body and foot, he was treated and discharged from GT Hospital.

The male driver of the red SUV was first on the scene, and is asked, to contact PC Emanuel Brown or Inspector Christsandra Mitchell at the Bodden Town Police Station on 947 2220 or 947 2240.

RCIPS is also appealing the driver of the light colour car to make contact with officers at Bodden Town Police Station.
