James Bergstrom

Ogier has confirmed six promotions across its legal, corporate and business services teams in the Cayman Islands.

Ridhiima Kapoor, part of Ogier’s Cayman Investment Funds and Corporate teams, has been promoted from senior to managing associate. She advises on the establishment, launch and maintenance of investment funds including hedge funds and private equity funds as well as on licensing matters. In 2022 Ridhiima was appointed a member of the board of directors of the Cayman Islands Special Economic Zones Authority.

Ridhiima said: “I have been with Ogier for more than 10 years and it has been a privilege to be a part of the firm and experience my journey from an articled clerk to managing associate during this time. I could not have done it without our support network. I look forward to this new role.”

Richard Christian has been a part of the Ogier Global Cayman team from inception, and has been promoted from team manger to senior manager. Together with the associate director, Richard manages a team that provides expert corporate administration services.

Richard said: “I am proud to be one of the initial staff members when Ogier Global started up in 2017. It has been a privilege to be a part of such a diverse and forward-thinking firm. I am excited for this next chapter in my career and look forward to continued growth both personally and for OGL.”

Edward Baker, part of Ogier Global’s Cayman Regulatory Reporting team, has been promoted from corporate administrator to senior regulatory analyst. Edward is responsible for providing support to Ogier Global’s Corporate team with regulatory reporting. “Ogier Global has supported my career in many ways, which has been extremely beneficial to my professional development,” he said. “I am eager to continue my development with the firm and I am truly grateful for the team and firm’s support.”

Ralston Thorpe, part of Ogier Global’s Corporate team, has been promoted from Senior Corporate Administrator to Regulatory Reporting Manager. Ralston is responsible for managing and overseeing Ogier Global’s regulatory reporting.

“Despite my short tenure with Ogier Global, I cannot begin to express my gratitude and appreciation for the team and their impact on my professional growth,” Ralston said. “I look forward to this next step in my career. I am so excited to work with the team, as we continue to build out a robust regulatory reporting framework.”

Ogier’s Cayman practice partner James Bergstrom said: “Ogier loves to reward the hard work of it’s employees and help them to progress as high as possible. Congratulations to all on making the next step up in their respective careers. They are all great assets to their respective teams as we strengthen our offering in Cayman.”
